Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 4 June 2026
These terms and conditions govern your use of rolfstenbergart.com and any purchases of artwork through this site. By using the site, submitting an inquiry, or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the site.
Who we are
This site is operated by:
Rolf Stenberg, sole trader, trading as Rolf Stenberg Art
Address: Kingswood, Dublin 24, Ireland
Email: studio@rolfstenbergart.com
References to "we," "our," and "us" in these terms mean Rolf Stenberg trading as Rolf Stenberg Art.
About the work
The artwork shown on this site is created by Rolf Stenberg. All pieces are digitally hand-painted by the artist using a graphics tablet and digital pen, from source photography also taken by the artist. The technique involves no AI, no filters, and no presets.
We sell:
- Original signed canvases in limited numbered editions
- Signed and numbered prints in larger limited editions
- Open edition signed prints in smaller sizes (where available)
We do not sell digital files of the artwork under any circumstances. All sales are of physical printed and framed pieces produced through our print partners.
How sales work
This site does not have a self-service checkout. All sales begin with an inquiry submitted through the contact form or by email to studio@rolfstenbergart.com.
After receiving your inquiry, we will respond personally with availability, pricing, and any other information needed. If you wish to proceed with a purchase, the following steps apply:
- We confirm the specific piece, size, edition number (where applicable), and total price including any shipping costs.
- A payment link is sent to you for the agreed amount. Payment is taken in full before production begins, unless otherwise agreed for larger commissions.
- Once payment is received, we arrange production through our print partners.
- The piece is shipped directly to you from the print partner.
- We provide tracking information and remain available for any questions through delivery.
For commissioned work, a deposit may be taken at the start of the project with the balance paid on completion or delivery. Specific terms are agreed individually for each commission.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in Euros (€) unless otherwise stated. We are not VAT registered, so prices do not include VAT.
For international buyers, your country's import duties, taxes, or fees may apply to delivered pieces. These are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price.
We accept payment through secure payment processing services. We do not store payment card details on our systems.
Delivery
Delivery is arranged through our print partners, currently based in Germany and Denmark. Delivery times depend on the size of the piece, the destination country, and current production schedules.
Typical delivery times:
- Within Ireland and the UK: 7-14 working days from order confirmation
- Within the EU: 10-21 working days from order confirmation
- Outside the EU: 14-28 working days from order confirmation
These are estimates. Actual delivery times may vary, particularly for larger pieces, custom framing, or during peak periods. We will provide specific timelines at the point of order confirmation.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to your address.
Copyright and reproduction rights
This section is important. Please read it carefully.
When you purchase a piece from us, you acquire ownership of the physical printed and framed artwork. You do not acquire any copyright in the underlying image or any reproduction rights.
What you can do with a purchased piece:
- Display it privately in your home, office, or other private location
- Lend it to friends or family for private display
- Sell it as a physical object to another buyer
- Have it photographed for insurance purposes or personal reference
What you cannot do with a purchased piece:
- Reproduce it in any form, whether by photography, printing, scanning, or digital reproduction, for any purpose other than personal reference
- Sell or licence reproductions of the image
- Use the image or any reproduction in commercial materials, advertising, social media for business purposes, websites, or any other commercial context
- Modify, alter, or create derivative works from the image
- Display the piece in a commercial gallery for sale without our written permission
If you are interested in obtaining reproduction rights for a piece — for example, for use in commercial materials, exhibitions, or licensing — please contact us. Reproduction rights are negotiated separately from artwork purchase and incur additional fees.
Rolf Stenberg retains all copyright in all artwork shown on this site, including pieces that have been sold to buyers.
Cancellation and returns
For standard pieces sold from the available inventory shown on the site, buyers based in the EU have a statutory right under the Consumer Rights Directive to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods, except where the goods are made to your specifications or are personalised — which includes commissioned works.
To cancel a non-commissioned order within the 14-day period:
- Notify us in writing (email is acceptable) within 14 days of receiving the goods
- Return the piece to us at your cost, in its original condition and packaging
- We will refund the purchase price, excluding original delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods
For commissioned works and personalised pieces, the right of cancellation does not apply once production has begun. This is consistent with EU consumer law, which excludes personalised and made-to-order goods from the standard cancellation rights.
If a piece arrives damaged or significantly different from what was ordered, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
We do not accept returns for buyer's remorse on commissioned works.
Limitation of liability
We do our best to deliver work that matches what you see on the site and what we agree at the point of order. However:
- We are not liable for delays caused by our print partners or shipping carriers, though we will work with you to resolve any issues
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
- Our total liability for any single transaction is limited to the amount you paid for that specific piece
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or republish the contents of this site (including artwork images, written content, or other materials) without our written permission
- Use any automated system, including scrapers or bots, to access the site

Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes arising from these terms or from purchases made through this site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
For consumers based outside Ireland, you retain the protection of any mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
