Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

This privacy policy explains how Rolf Stenberg ("we," "our," "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit rolfstenbergart.com or contact us through the site.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data lawfully under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988-2018.

Who we are

Rolf Stenberg is a sole trader based in Ireland operating as Rolf Stenberg Art.

Contact address: Kingswood, Dublin 24, Ireland
Email: studio@rolfstenbergart.com

For the purposes of GDPR, Rolf Stenberg is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it to us. Specifically:

When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if you choose to provide it)
  • The subject of your inquiry
  • The content of your message

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect any personally identifiable information. Plausible processes anonymous data such as page views and approximate geographic region (country level only). You can read more about Plausible's privacy approach at plausible.io/privacy.

We do not collect data through any other tracking mechanism. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or similar third-party tracking technologies.

Why we collect this data

We collect personal data through the contact form for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and conduct any subsequent business with you regarding the purchase of artwork or a commissioned piece.

The legal basis for this processing is:

  • Consent: You provide your personal data voluntarily when you submit the contact form, which constitutes consent for us to use that data to respond.
  • Legitimate interests: We have a legitimate interest in responding to inquiries about our work and conducting business with people who express interest in commissioning or acquiring pieces.
  • Contract: Where you proceed to purchase a piece or commission a work, we process your data to perform the contract for sale.

How long we keep your data

We retain inquiry correspondence and customer records for the following periods:

  • General inquiries that do not result in a purchase: up to 24 months after last contact, after which the data is deleted unless you have asked to remain in contact.
  • Customer records for completed sales: retained for a minimum of 7 years from the date of sale to comply with Irish tax and revenue record-keeping requirements.
  • Marketing or newsletter subscribers (if applicable in the future): until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Plausible Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous and is not associated with individual visitors.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your personal data may be shared with the following service providers, only as necessary to deliver our services to you:

  • Our email service provider, which processes emails sent to and from studio@rolfstenbergart.com
  • Our print partners (currently based in Germany and Denmark) when fulfilling an order, who receive your delivery address and contact details to ship purchased work directly to you
  • Payment processors (when a sale takes place) who handle the financial transaction
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and any data submitted through it

We require all service providers to handle your data in compliance with GDPR and to use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.

We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area unless adequate protections are in place. Our print partners in Denmark and Germany are within the EEA. If we use service providers in other countries, we ensure appropriate safeguards under GDPR.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • The right to request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing
  • The right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission
